Accessibility

Accessibility statement.

Mayport aims to make its website usable by the widest practical range of people, devices and assistive technologies.

Statement date: on publication

Last reviewed: 30 July 2026

Our target

Mayport targets the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA.

This is a design and testing target. It is not a claim that every page, component or third-party service is fully conformant at all times.

Measures built into the site

The site is designed to provide:

  • semantic headings, regions and landmarks;
  • a skip link and keyboard-operable navigation;
  • visible focus states;
  • controls and warnings that do not rely on colour alone;
  • responsive text and layouts;
  • reduced-motion behaviour where supported;
  • labelled form controls and clear status information; and
  • static HTML for substantive written content.

Motion and media

The homepage video is decorative and muted. No information or task depends on it. The static poster is shown instead when a user requests reduced motion, when the viewport is narrow, or when data saving is requested.

Current status

The site is assessed against the stated target before public release and after material changes. Testing combines automated checks with manual review of keyboard navigation, zoom, responsive layout, reduced-motion behaviour and representative assistive technology use.

Issues identified through testing or feedback will be recorded with their effect, any available workaround and the intended remediation.

Third-party services

We include third-party controls used in key website tasks in our accessibility testing. Known barriers and available alternatives are recorded below.

Cloudflare Turnstile is used to protect form submissions. If that control prevents you from completing a form, email admin@mayport.com.au as the direct alternative.

Alternative formats

You may request information from the website in an alternative accessible format.

Mayport will consider the content, urgency and your preferred format and respond with a reasonable way to provide access.

Feedback

Use the Mayport contact form, or email admin@mayport.com.au if the form is not accessible. Start your message with “Accessibility” and include, where possible:

  • the page address;
  • the task you were trying to complete;
  • the barrier encountered;
  • your browser or assistive technology, if you choose to provide it; and
  • the format or response that would assist.

Review

This statement is reviewed after material design or platform changes and as accessibility issues are identified and resolved. The statement will be updated with the scope and findings of release testing.

Clarity for complex programs.
